Victor Sheverda
Construction Project Manager - Construction Management
Victor Sheverda is a Construction Project Manager operating in the Greater Denver Area. He manages various commercial construction efforts, overseeing each phase from initial planning to final project completion. With a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification, he brings a disciplined, process-driven mindset to each assignment. This globally recognized certification reflects his capability to manage construction projects using proven techniques, ensuring goals are met within defined budgets and timelines. He applies his practical knowledge of construction and formal project management practices to deliver efficient results and meet client expectations consistently.
His introduction to the construction field came early, through work with his family’s business that focused on building custom-spec residential homes. The company employed Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) technology to construct houses, prioritizing energy efficiency and durability. The exposure to environmentally conscious building from a young age encouraged his appreciation for sustainable construction practices. The benefits of ICF—including resistance to fire, pests, rot, and natural disasters—left a strong impression and helped shape his professional values around resilience and sustainability.
He began his journey in commercial construction by taking on summer internships with established companies. These experiences led to a full-time opportunity with a major building group, where he started to work on high-profile projects. Over time, he advanced into the role of Assistant Project Manager with a well-regarded general contractor in Colorado. In his current role, he maintains strong relationships with subcontractors and clients, ensuring the construction process creates value for all parties involved.
As a certified Project Management Professional, he brings consistency and clarity to complex construction environments. His expertise in risk analysis, planning, and execution enables him to manage complicated logistics, resolve procurement issues, and maintain cost efficiency. In addition, he holds a certification in Agile project management. This approach promotes adaptability by segmenting work into shorter cycles or “sprints,” making it easier to respond to changing project needs and incorporate client feedback.
Early Life and Education
He spent part of his childhood in Hawaii, where he developed a strong connection to nature and environmental responsibility. These values have remained central to his outlook and continue to guide his approach to construction projects. After relocating to Colorado, he attended Cherokee Trail High School. There, he performed well in both academics and athletics. As a tennis player, he earned varsity letters for four consecutive years and competed in regional and state championships multiple times within the 5A league for Boys 12-18.
In 2015, he enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder to study civil engineering. However, his interest in a more applied role in the field led him to transfer to Colorado State University. He entered the Construction Management program, graduating with a 3.78 GPA. While in college, he joined the Sigma Lambda Chi Honor Society and was consistently named to the Dean’s List.
During college, he completed three summer internships with a major building group. These experiences allowed him to work alongside engineers and construction teams on several significant projects. Among these were the Market Station and RidgeGate Campus projects in Colorado and a historic preservation effort at the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. The Capitol project was significant to him. He contributed to preserving a national landmark, an experience that remains a highlight of his early career.
Career in Construction
With nearly a decade of experience in field and office roles, he has dedicated himself to learning, growing, and consistently delivering well-managed projects. His focus on bringing structure and accountability to each stage of construction has made him effective in transforming inactive or outdated spaces into vibrant commercial areas.
He joined a respected construction firm as a Project Engineer after his internships. One of his early assignments involved work on the National Western Center Campus Energy project. There, he contributed to developing North America's largest sewer-heat recovery system. His commitment to detail, collaboration, and continuous improvement helped him transition into the role of Construction Estimator. In that position, he analyzed subcontractor and supplier proposals, reviewed bid documents, and assembled accurate project cost estimates based on scope and drawings.
In 2022, he was appointed Assistant Project Manager, where he managed subcontractor contract scopes, coordinated procurement efforts, and tracked project performance against timeline expectations. His careful oversight helped ensure that contracts were executed properly and that projects stayed on course. Through his ability to anticipate and address challenges, he earned the trust of team members and project stakeholders.
Among his project achievements, two stand out as particularly important. The first is his involvement in preserving the U.S. Capitol, where his work contributed to maintaining one of the nation’s most recognized structures. The second is the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center, a 170,982-square-foot facility housing high-performance computing infrastructure. Both projects demonstrate his capability to manage large-scale, technically demanding work in different settings.
A Life Adventurist
Beyond his construction career, he lives an active life that reflects his passion for nature and discovery. He supports conservation efforts through his involvement with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. His connection to the outdoors is evident in his time hiking, climbing, and exploring remote landscapes. He has summited many of Colorado’s tallest mountains and taken on challenging trails in Hawaii, New Mexico, and Colorado.
His interest in fitness also plays a role in his daily life. He practices Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and boxing and engages in skiing and weight training. Travel continues to inspire his curiosity, especially when it involves learning about historical sites and local culture. Whether managing a complex commercial build or exploring a rugged trail, he approaches every task with commitment and purpose.
Through years of hands-on experience, continuing education, and professional certification, Victor Sheverda has built a career grounded in responsibility, precision, and environmental awareness. His work reflects a balanced combination of field knowledge and structured methodology, qualities that continue to define his success in the construction industry.
